Background Information

This is the background information needed to create a character. (Let me know if you need me to clarify anything, or expand on anything).

The caern {place of spiritual power where werewolves gather} where the game takes place was completely destroyed in the devastation (See in character information if you're wondering "what devastation"?). The player characters have been sent to help rebuild this caern and find out what happened to the surrounding caerns as well.

As far as anyone knows, all caerns in this general location have been destroyed. The closest one known to still be around is the Black Fury Caern just outside of San Diego. They have sent garou {what werewolves call themselves} and kinfolk {humans that are 'kin' to garou} up to guard the caern until other garou can come and help as well. Your character can be from any caern but this one, which was completely destroyed since it is closest to the epicenter.

There are 3 other caerns in this area and if you'd like to have been from one, let us know and we'll give you a bit more info on them. Otherwise, you can be from anywhere, news has traveled across the world. The Black Furies have sent word that they need more garou to help protect this caern.

The tribe relationships are the same as the book explains them, and your character doesn't know anything about this area unless she/he is from here. If she/he is, let us know and we'll get you the backstory.

The three most likely tribes to have come here are the glass walkers, bonegnawers, and the black furies. Glass walkers and bonegnawers because it is a city caern, and black furies because they are sending as many members as they can to this caern to defend it. However all tribes are playable except stargazers, though you need a good story line for why a Uktena or Wendigo would care about helping the black fury "wyrm bringers". {Uktena and Wendigo don't like any other tribe since they say it was them that brought the wyrm (evil forces) to the Americas}.
